Seyed Abbas Salehi, Iran’s Minister of Culture: From the Blood of Martyred Journalists, Thousands of Resistance Media Will Emerge

According to the CinemaDrame News Agency, Seyed Abbas Salehi, Iran’s Minister of Culture, in an interview with Al-Manar Network, expressed condolences to the families and colleagues of the martyred journalists Ali Shoaib of Al-Manar and Fatemeh Fotouhi of Al-Mayadeen. He stated that journalists who stand alongside resistance have always anticipated such a future—sacrificing their lives to convey the oppression of people affected by the Zionist regime and under its pressure.

Salehi added: “We hope that through the path these martyrs began and the blood that has been shed, thousands of new journalists and media outlets will emerge to amplify the voice of resistance.”

The Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance emphasized that media are the voice of nations and that journalists represent the people’s voice. He noted: “In all wars, journalists are considered a protected space because they are the voice of the people, and it is essential that this voice be preserved.”

He further stated: “The aggressive Zionist regime, during its occupation of the land of Jerusalem, did not respect any ethical or human red lines. The children martyred in Gaza and Palestine are a reflection of this behavior.”

The minister continued: “Today, the martyrdom of our dear journalists adds another chapter to the long record of oppression and crimes committed by the Zionist regime. These individuals had no other agenda; their dedication and professionalism served to convey the voice of the oppressed people in the region, and today they were martyred in this attack.”

Salehi concluded: “Undoubtedly, the voice of the people cannot be silenced. The Zionist regime may martyr journalists and destroy media centers with bombs, but nations will continue to convey their voices through other means. New journalists will rise, equipped with pens and cameras, to continue documenting the oppression of the people of Palestine, Lebanon, Iran, and all nations that have suffered under the injustice of the Zionist regime for the past 70 to 90 years. The future of the world without the Zionist regime will be one of peace, justice, and the peaceful coexistence of nations.”
